As many of you already know Italy, as well as many other fellow countries, is going through a period of abrupt changes. The aspects tackled are many, the uncertainty that weighs upon our heads is very present, but we must not forget a vitally important thing:  "Italy is a place where culture existed before the nation did"

And the people responsible for the nation's unification were young valiant men, they were the same age as university students, they had a belief that kept them together, they died for their belief, and their impact changed our country forever.

This year we remember 150 years of the unification of Italy, and as I look out to sea from the window of this institute I foresee a time of changes that will be spoken of in history books.

Being in Italy at the moment means living a part of our history that will not replicate itself, ever again, and living it at a younger age means savoring a cultural metamorphosis that will enrich the individual from a personal, cultural and spiritual level.

Culture is what we have always preserved as a nation and it's the reason why we have established Sorrento Lingue.
