2006 marks 8 years, since I established Sorrento Lingue. I
was born and raised in Turin, Italy, have lived in England
and Germany, and speak French, German and English. Despite
having seen and experienced quite a bit, I have always been
drawn to Southern Italy and its distinct culture. When I first
came to Sorrento, it was as if I had awaken from a long sleep.
Sorrento was one of the most beautiful and unique cities I
had ever seen. Charming, safe and authentically Italian, I
also believed that it was one of the most interesting and
easy cities in the country to learn the language. I opened
the school out of a selfless necessity to teach Italian to
foreigners and to share with them my love for this spectacular
place.
Today, my vision is even broader. Within Sorrento Lingue's
walls, we are creating an international community where both
Italians and students from around the world can interact and
exchange their cultures, ideas and perspectives. In addition
to Italian courses to foreigners, Sorrento Lingue has expanded
to offering foreign languages to Italians seeking to discover
the world beyond their native country. We are also focused
on developing partnerships with foreign universities building
their study abroad programs in Italy. With the difficult political
and economic outlook in our world, I am even more committed
to providing students, educators and universities with the
highest standard of international education and language programs.
