Sorrento Lingue - International Language Institute was one of the sponsors of the course entitled "The golden age of Italian sculpture" (February 1-4, 2010).
The event was also sponsored by: the city of Sorrento, the "Roland Barthes" Association, Fondazione Sorrento and the Hilton Sorrento Palace. The valued lecturer was Dr. Charles Avery, internationally well-known as one of the most important experts in Italian sculpture between the Fifteenth and the Seventeenth century. His seminars, focusing on some world-renowned artists as Donatello, Michelangelo and Bernini, were very appreciated by a large audience, Italian and international.
Among the careful participants, there were the students of the Alfred State College (New York, USA) engaged in a study abroad semester program at Sorrento Lingue.
The Institute thanks the art expert Luciano Russo ("Roland Barthes" Association), without whose unmatched expertise and passion the event would not have been feasible.
The cycle of conferences "The golden age of Italian sculpture" represents the first of a series of annual events in early spring, focused on international training in art that Sorrento Lingue intends to organize through its network of academic partners working around the world.
